Vernon Folk Roots Music Society is 100% volunteer-run registered non-profit organization dedicated to bringing live folk/roots music to the Vernon area.
About Us
The Vernon Folk-Roots Music Society (VFRMS) was formed in the spring of 2014. We are a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to bringing the best in local and travelling musical artists to the North Okanagan. We typically put on 8-10 events per season. Our season runs from September through June. We do not put on any events in the summer.
We present eclectic array of musical styles including alternative country, roots-rock, folk, indie-folk, R&B, rockabilly, blues and bluegrass and provide the opportunity for old and new fans alike to experience the honesty and depth of these musical styles.
Operated by an elected Board of Directors, the Society does not have any paid staff but rather relies on volunteers to stage our concert season.
